Series Automatic Horizontal Cartoners as part of a complete
packaging line. The series includes six models that offer choices in
speed, footprint, and carton closure style to meet any application.
Designed to handle the small to medium size cartons used by the
pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and consumer product industries, the
cartoners meet cGMP requirements. All models offer quick changeover
and a variety of options for leaflet insertion, carton closure,
embossing or ink coding, and infeed configurations.
Cartoning is achieved using either continuous or intermittent
motion, depending on speed and application. Speeds range from 80
cartons per minute using the model AS 70, to 250 cartons per minute
using the servo-driven model AS 350; other models operate at speeds
within this range. Changeover times are 15-20 minutes typical when
all dimensions change. Digital indicators on the front of the
machines allow for reproducible, settable adjustments, and in most
cases, no tools are required. The carton transport system uses
patented technology that gently handles fragile and high glossy
cartons without scratching or damaging the package. Accurate
mechanical or servo controlled motions and reliable product feeding
mechanisms increase the horizontal cartoner’s speed and quality of
performance. User-friendly PLC with LC display assures ease of
operation with a minimum of operator training.
Carton closure options include hot-melt glue or fold and tuck. All
models can handle pre-glued cartons and can accommodate reverse or
