July 2008, Blacksburg, VA —The next-generation Model V 30 robotic
case packer from ESS Technologies,
Inc. integrates a FANUC robot, an ESS-designed end-of-arm tool, and
Allen Bradley controls using the Compact Logix platform to create a
high performance robotic case packer. A number of FANUC robots can
be specified, depending on the payload requirements of the
application. The V 30 is capable of handling jars, bottles (plastic
or glass), tubes, bags, and/or cartons at speeds of up to 30 cases
per minute (depending on the model ordered). Quick change end
effecters allow for fast changeover for multiple applications.
The V 30 has been engineered to reduce the number of required spare parts and simplifying maintenance for the system. Open access to the system allows for ease of inspection and cleaning. The V 30 forms a case, loads it with the desired product, and seals the case in a very small footprint. Case sealing options include self-adhesive tape or hot-melt glue. The innovative addition of the optional integrated pallet cell (Model V 30P) further increases system performance and flexibility while conserving valuable space in the end user’s facility. Model V 30HS offers a high speed servo-driven case transfer system, and Model V 30M eliminates the case magazine, allowing it to be used to fill pre-formed trays or cases.
As an authorized FANUC Robotics system integrator, ESS Technologies, Inc. has the expertise needed to integrate the V 30 into existing and new packaging systems to meet any application. Superior design and turnkey systems integration from ESS Technologies, Inc. make the V 30 Vertical Robotic Case Packer the ideal solution for case packing applications in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic and consumer product industries.
