September 2011, Blacksburg, VA — The ESS Technologies, Inc. TaskMateTM Robotic Loading System combines a FANUC LR Mate mini robot with ESS-designed equipment to create a system that reduces repetitive motion in loading blister sealing machines and other types of packaging machinery. ESS Technologies, Inc. will be demonstrating the TaskMate™ with our OEM partner, Tegrant Corporation — Alloyd Brands at PackExpo 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada, September 26-28, 2011. The demonstration will be located in Alloyd’s booth #1211. ESS Technologies, Inc. project engineers will be available in the booth to discuss the system and its application in a wide variety of packaging lines.

The TaskMate(TM) system performs a wide variety of tasks to increase efficiency and productivity while reducing cost. The equipment works in a number of environments, including clean room settings. Equipped with a tabletop platform, interlocked guarding, and optional light curtain, the TaskMateTM system easily integrates with most process or packaging equipment. Enhanced motion control, speed, vision, and robotic dexterity make the TaskMateTM system ideal for pick and place applications, carton/case loading, product collation and dispensing, product orientation, and production inspection and sampling. By automating these repetitive tasks, companies can increase production efficiency while reducing cost and allowing workers to be redeployed in other parts of the production process that require human interaction.
