The ESS Technologies, Inc. TaskMate™ Flexible Feeding System integrates a FANUC robot with Flexomation-brand feeders and parts handling equipment to create a very flexible product feeder. The specialized feeder incorporates FANUC iR vision systems to allow the robot to pick objects regardless of the object’s orientation. Custom ESS-designed end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) handles virtually any product. The TaskMate™ system includes:

A FANUC multi-axis robot (model varies depending on application)
ESS-designed end-of-arm tool (EOAT) that changes in minutes
Controls and programming
Interlocked Lexan guarding designed to Category 4 safety standards

The TaskMate Flexible Feeding System can be integrated with other packaging machinery for a wide variety of applications, including pick-and-place assembly processes, bottle and vial feeding, cap and dropper feeding, and sorting or kit-packing applications. The TaskMate™ cell performs at very high rates of speed with virtually no change parts and very fast changeover times. A number of robot models can be specified, depending on the payload and speed requirements. ESS Technologies, Inc. is a FANUC Robotics strategic business partner in the secondary packaging and palletizing of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics and an authorized system integrator.
